LARRY AMBROSE BIOGRAPHY:
He started announcing boat races during the 2000 season, known to the Fans as "Just" Larry, a name given to him at his second race by a fellow driver that has stuck with him ever since. Larry Ambrose is not just another voice announcing races. Prior to becoming an announcer, he competed in many different racing disciplines. He started racing in 1973, racing bracket classes in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) and then moved up to Top Alcohol Dragster. He joined the American Power Boat Association (APBA) in 1985 racing the famed Cracker Boxes, Endurance Tunnel, Offshore, and Mod V-P boat classes. He returned to NHRA in 1990 in Pro-Stock, then in 1994 joined IHBA to drive Hydro-flat drag boats.
Larry brings to the fans his knowledge of Championship Sprint Boat racing , along with other racing classes from being around racing for the past 37 years. Larry emphasizes all supporting sponsors throughout his broadcast at each event.
He constantly works with sponsors helping to bring support to this sport. This includes furthering promotion of an event, to sponsorship of drivers and race teams.
Larry has over 245 bio's of drivers, teams and boats.
